Just as wounds leave a scar, so also people, decisions, and experiences often leave an ache we continue to live with. We carry these for years, becoming an emotional companion, surfacing time and again, even when we thought we had closure. Understanding them may well be a starting point, even if we can’t fix all of them.
There are times we have been hurt by words and actions, finding it near impossible to forget and let go. The closer the person, the deeper the pain.
There have been times we have decided or behaved in a manner we should not have. We sometimes find it difficult to let go of our mistakes. It pains us to remember the moments when not only did we let someone else down, but we also let ourselves down.
Some people who were integral to our lives may no longer be part of it; some may have passed away, and some may have drifted due to misunderstandings or moving in different directions. The space that they once filled often gets filled with pain.
Seeing situations around us may evoke empathy, but it also often pains us to see the negativity and suffering around us.
However, even as we are aware of the aches we live with, they don’t have to define us. We need to remind ourselves that these experiences came for a purpose, for a learning, for a message for us to learn and grow from. When we give ourselves a perspective and learn to forgive not only others but also ourselves, the pain eases.
Much of our life is spent building a better future and fixing an imperfect past. And even as we grow internally, and reset most things with a better understanding of ourselves and of life, we will realise a simple truth we live with – we can’t fix every ache inside of us.

So True Vivek.
Healing takes time.
There are times when we ourselves scratch the wounds & wonder why healing is not taking place.
Stay blessed. 🌺🌺
