We can either live with a paradigm of scarcity or abundance. In the midst of conversations around uncertainty and destruction of value, I was reflecting on abundance.
Abundance is not about having a lot. It’s an attitude, a mindset of living with a sense of wholesomeness.
When we connect with the infinite potentiality and expansiveness within, it unleashes a loving willingness to Give – of our possessions, time and ourselves. To Give as much as we can, to as many as we can for as long as we can.
Compassion reflects our abundance. Our willingness and ability to care in spite of our own challenges shows we operate from a space of giving and caring.
Acts of kindness to strangers shows our abundance. It’s easy to do things for people we care for. But when we are sensitive to the need of someone and find it in ourselves to reach out and help, in spite of not knowing that person, it is not our expectation but our abundance driving us.
Abundance is not having money but not feeling poor.
The uncertainty around doesn’t create insecurity. The inner security propels us to reach out. When we feel the pain and anguish of others, when we share their concerns and challenges, when we rejoice in their success and when we build our bonds of pure love and trust in every relationship, we’ve truly lived an abundant life.
Let there never be a scarcity of Abundance in our life.

There is something in the way you say Abundance..that makes it abundant ….
Lovely
Vivek… Thanks for these clear thought provoking morning ponderings ???? ????
When reading the title, i had expected something completely different. Abundance for me had a negative touch since it is very much combined with consumption. How wonderful to be reminded that abundance is related to phantastic things such as love, air, etc thanks. Karin
Beautiful. You said “……when we build our bonds of pure love and trust in every relationship, we’ve truly lived an abundant life”. As soon as I finished reading this sentence, Kabir’s doha came to my mind “Kabira tum paida huae, jag hasya tum roye; Aisi karni kijiyo, tum huso, jag roye”.
Gradually detaching from our hundreds of desires we grow into abundance, timeless presence, space, freedom and creativity.
Thanks for this perspective Andre and bringing out the connection between our desires and abundance.
Very well said, Vivek. I always love reading your articles. The Gita says we are all born completely fulfilled “paripoorna” not lacking in any way. The journey of life is just about realising that we are blessed with abundance everywhere.
