Sometimes we feel a load in our life though we can’t really put a finger on any particular issue. On the face of it, life seems pretty much in place, and yet this feeling of subtle pressure. We don’t realise it, but over the years we may have dealt with things in a manner that they sit in our subconscious, periodically bothering us. It’s only when we become aware of what creates subconscious pressure can we deal with reducing it.
When we know we need to attend to something but keep it pending, it starts bothering us because in our subconscious we know that our procrastination is taking the better of us, only to cost us dearly if we keep things pending too long.
When something is getting delayed, even though we understand why, we feel the pressure, because subconsciously we are living with the anxiety of closure and don’t have faith that having done our best, we need to have patience.
When we break promises, it bothers us within because we realise that we have also broken trust. The consequence may not be severe for us, but we feel the subconscious pressure of having compromised a relationship.
When we are called upon to decide and we keep putting it off, wavering in our thinking, it keeps bothering us because deep down we know that lacking the courage and conviction to make a decision is not the way we should be living our life.
When our execution is not as good as it should be and we are struggling to balance our lives, subconsciously we are feeling the pressure of probably not being realistic and having taken on too much.
When we feel a change in a relationship and have not been able to speak about it, we feel the subconscious pressure of fear of losing a valuable thing in our life.
Food needs to be well digested. When we don’t chew our food well and eat too fast, it upsets our system. It is the same with our minds. If we don’t process and digest what is going on, living our lives at a fast pace, we won’t get time to reflect and give perspective to issues and relationships. And because we ignore them doesn’t mean they go away, they unfortunately sit in our subconscious.
Some of the world’s precious and most valuable elements lie buried deep in the earth. Our subconscious too carries valuable learnings and insights for us. So when we feel the subtle pressure, it is our inner world nudging us to go deep within, to not only release the pressure, but also release the immense potential we are living with.
(Today is the 400th reflection. Thank you for your support and encouragement)
So true. We all have layers of unresolved issues that keep surfacing as anxiety or worry. These keep niggling at us and stop us from fully enjoying life.
Congratulations Vivek on the 400 reflections and thank you for giving us 400 opportunities to reflect on how we can improve our lives.
Very true, at times we are not able to pinpoint the issue and that something always keeps us bothering and we are waiting our valuable time of our life nor enjoying it and living it to the fullest.
