There are some people in our life who are there for us in a manner that makes us take a step back and realise how fortunate we are to have them in our lives. They teach us the essence of life and what it means to be there for someone.
Their thought lifts our spirit. Even when they are far away and may not always be with us, they are never away from us. We carry them in our heart, and in the most trying times, just knowing that they are part of our life gives us the much needed inner strength.
They give us the confidence that no matter what happens, they will be by our side. We may not realise it, but their love and affection gives us the feeling that we are never alone. And even though it seems we may do many things by ourselves, deep down we know that we managed because we had the confidence they are there for us.
They make us understand life at a fundamental level, that bonds of love don’t need a reason and don’t have expectations. Their care and goodness bring out the best in us, and we start living wanting to be worthy of their love.
They are the most precious people in our life. We may not say this to them, but they know how much we love them and how much they matter to us. Sometimes the bond and relationship with them is of a nature which not everyone can understand. Some relationships don’t have a name.
They feel our pain as theirs and go out of their way to do whatever they can for us. They make us realise that our journey in life would be incomplete without them.
And these relationships work both ways. They know that they too can count on us anytime, for anything at all, and we will always be there for them. We look forward to an opportunity of being there for them, not so much for anything else, but for being able to express the true love we carry for them.
Life gives us a lot, but nothing compares to having those relationships in life that teach us what true love is.
