Where thoughts go, energy flows. Where energy flows, that grows. Repeatedly thinking of something creates thought patterns in us which dictate the direction of our actions. Our thoughts, therefore shape us and our future. Being aware of our thought patterns can help us reshape who we are.
And yet we know how difficult it can be. The mind being a creature of habit rushes into old habits of thinking. Worry, fear, anxiety, anger, regret and unproductive thought patterns can so easily disturb our inner balance if we drop our awareness. Allowing negative thoughts to breed internally can be destructive. And in a moment of weakness, we will pay the price.
Our biggest mistake is to disrespect the power of a thought. We must remember that sometimes it takes just a spark to burn a forest. To introspect, detect, negate and substitute negativity with higher-order thoughts is the way to protect ourselves from ourselves.
The mind needs challenging goals. And let these goals be large enough to keep us constantly inspired and active. The anxiety of achieving them should not be our concern. Results belong to the future whereas our thoughts must be focussed and brought fully into the now. The inner discipline and dedication of the mind while acting is all that matters. Our real growth lies not in our achievements but in our efforts. Let every imperfection be a stepping stone in our journey of shaping our life.
The mind is like a garden where we can plant thoughts of our choice. But like a tree, the fruit depends on the seed. Similarly, negative thoughts will bring their own results as will positive thoughts. A good gardener removes the weeds and plants roses. We too can build a beautiful mind, if we plant the right thoughts.
Let the purity of our mind reflect the beauty within, unleash the untapped potential and live the greatness that we truly are.
We must change the world – our inner world. And we can do it, with the correct Thoughts.
Loved the statement
….Don’t disrespect the power of a thought …
I hope to use it
every thought is a prayer and every prayer and s answered
Thank you, Vivek
Very practical ideas to get out of negative thoughts – introspect, detect, negate and substitute
And ultimately, aren’t we our thoughts???
Well articulated. Yet again. The thought-action continuum is rarely understood though so critical
