We are very aware of our imperfections. We try and work on them, most times with partial success. It bothers us that we live with imperfections we would like to do without. However, if we start looking at our imperfections differently, we can use them to our advantage.
When we honestly accept our imperfections, we dispel the shadow of denial and pretences. When we learn to accept ourselves with all our faults, we turn the anger of being imperfect, to positive motivation of removing our imperfections.
Our imperfections give us a strong enough reason to introspect. Not only do we better understand our challenges, we start discovering hidden strengths and talents.
The strong desire to remove imperfections becomes a conviction. Working towards improving ourselves, we become resolute, determined, and focussed, traits that help us build a better life.
Imperfections have a way of getting the better of us, more often than not. When we are sincere, we develop the discipline and vigilance to win the daily battle. In the face of setbacks, which we will have along the way, we start understanding our will power. Understanding the difference between having a thought and the will to see it through goes a long way in life.
Our imperfections remind us that others too are struggling with their inner challenges. Honesty with our own imperfections turns our critical nature to empathy. We become less judgemental of others and more observant about ourselves.
When we hold on to the higher, the lower automatically drops. Imperfections compel us to constantly look for a higher in our life.
And as we develop these wonderful qualities, we realise that it was only possible because we stopped treating our imperfections as a burden, and treated them as a perfect opportunity to build a beautiful life for ourselves.
