We often take our health for granted. We know the things we should do or avoid. And yet many of us fall prey to inertia or temptation. Managing our health develops the very same qualities we need for our own inner development and being effective in life.
We need to be devoted. The deep sense of commitment develops our ability to overcome inertia.
We need to be disciplined. To make choices where we put health before temptations.
We need to make it fun and enjoyable. The mind soon tires of a routine. Being innovative keeps us going. It’s good to work to a goal. Small milestones for better health keeps us engaged and motivated.
Devotion, commitment, discipline, innovation, goal-oriented and being motivated are all necessary. And yet we find ourselves falling short for something so obvious as healthy living.
The answer lies in the one thing that can completely change our lives. There is a difference between knowing and being. And this is key. .
No matter how talented, intelligent and knowledgeable we are, it’s in our being that we grow – physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.
Shakespeare asked – To be or not to be, that is the question. The answer is clear – It’s not just knowing what’s good health. It’s about Being Healthy.
