We are fortunate to be born free. Even though there’s much change we desire in society and sometimes feel restricted, freedom is available to us. People struggle, sacrifice and fight fiercely to get this freedom. Because we have a right to be free.
But what use is outer freedom if we are internally bound and feel like slaves to our thoughts, desires and moods. Outer freedom with inner slavery is no freedom at all.
We need Freedom from fear, anger, attachments, anxiety, lust, jealousy, arrogance, laziness and any and all negativity we know we are slaves to and succumb to.
And yet why do we find it so difficult to drop these habits and tendencies ? If the doctor told us the next piece of chocolate would kill us, how many of us would still give into the temptation ? In a split second the information turns to knowledge, becomes our conviction and our lived wisdom. Partly out of fear but also out of love for living.
Till we do not develop the intense love for living to our maximum potential, being at a higher level of consciousness, our knowledge will not become our conviction to become our lived wisdom. We will know what’s good for us but will always struggle.
Our highest purpose in life is fighting for and gaining freedom. Inner Freedom.
So perfectly explained 👌🏼
Internal Freedom is elusive and we are each Freedom Fighters working towards breaking free of the shackles & chains binding us to the negative traits
Freedom to allow ourselves to dream ,freedom from what people will say,Freedom from “mann ki baat”
On the outside, we are bound to different degrees depending on our life situation. But we have the freedom to choose from all our many thoughts. And if we consciously choose the thought of inner freedom, silence and inner peace, we find this inner freedom.
Well said Andre. Thanks for sharing this perspective.
