Fear grips us from time to time throwing us off balance. To conquer fear we need to understand the three aspects of fear.
Fear is rooted in desire. It’s an emotion of not getting something we deeply desire or losing something we already have. It reflects our attachment.
Fear is of the future, of the unknown. Something we believe may happen.
Fear clouds our judgement. It’s a very strong negative feeling with the power to veil our clarity.
It’s worth reflecting on what helps us deal with our fears over time.
Allowing the emotion to settle before making any decisions helps. We’ve almost always made wrong decisions acting out of fear. It helps to dimension the worst case, allowing the mind to reconcile with the possible outcome.
Constantly reminding ourselves that our ability to face the consequences is greater than the challenge develops the much needed inner strength.
Sitting in daily silence to allow the emotions to settle and deeper insights to surface is an antidote . Very often we will find that we will be guided completely contrary to our natural limited thinking.
Moving ahead very slowly with full awareness, is very helpful, knowing that fear is clouding our judgement.
These practices may not change the situation but will definitely change how we respond. Life teaches us to smile at ourselves and ask the question “So What ?” Because as we look back, every fearful situation was a blessing to help us move forward.
There’s only one way to be. As Tagore beautifully said – Where the Mind is Without Fear.
Nice Vivek. Fear grips us, when we cannot see that we are a part of a much larger scheme of things, a far larger universe, beyond our mind, thoughts and being. Not only are we a part of it, we are it.
Beautifully put Dennis !
In My experience fear is lot for do with a lack of knowledge about the subject we are fearful about
So get it and fear gets less or done with

Perfectly said ! 👍🏼 On another side Fear of the unknown keeps Life interesting, a learning process and fear coupled with worry about the future ruins the present ! Hence we must accept things as they come and go with the flow 😊
Fear is something comes, when we are ignorant and have no knowledge. To overcome we have to gain knowledge, understand the facts, reflect and go ahead. Fear withholds you to move ahead and is than a hindrance. Its just in the mind. So overcome .
On a lighter note ” darr ke aage Jeet hai’ . Over come the fear.
Fear Is an important inner alert, that it’s time to stop and closely examine its cause for possibly making Just in time modifications on our assumed to be courre this course.
Often it’s because circumstances have altered , but our conscious minds have not factored in the new information.
True. And insistence on results being the way we want them makes us inflexible, stressed and fearful when life takes a different turn.
