Trust is the most valuable currency in the world. The basis of any relationship – with a spouse, customer, colleague, friend or with society.
Trust gets built when we are dependable, consistent in our ways and live with authenticity. When our inner being is integrated and reflected in all our relationships and dealings.
Making and keeping promises builds trust.
Living by our values in difficult times builds trust.
Open, honest and sometimes difficult conversations builds trust.
Rising above our egos and deciding what is right rather than who is right, builds trust.
Overcoming our fears and allowing ourselves to trust people, builds trust. This does not mean that we’re not careful or we become naive in our worldly dealings. It means we start on the premise that people are fundamentally good and trustworthy. Of course some will take advantage of our trusting nature but the fear of those few shouldn’t deprive us of the many with whom we can and should build enduring relationships.
Being trustworthy allows us to trust others.
I was reflecting on the fact that the largest transaction of my life was done looking someone in the eye and shaking hands, much to the concern of my lawyer ! And when we were embarking on one of the biggest ventures and I asked my wife Rashida for a plan , she just said – “don’t ask me for projections and strategies, just trust me”. And that one minute conversation was enough for both of us to move ahead.
But our true growth lies in trusting our Guidance in our time of silence . When we are challenged and guided outside our comfort zone or led down a road never traveled, our ability and willingness to trust that message releases a potentiality we never knew existed.
We must use our sharp intellects and build trusting relationships. But when at a crossroad we are really seeking the way forward, it is our inner voice we must Trust.
Beautiful….
And trustworthy people attract other similar trusting people into their fold. It just happens!
So true…no better source of trust than your own inner voice more so when facing the unknown
Trust too is one of the everlasting qualities for any activity in any sphere of life
Trust begets trust. That’s my experience.
I would rather err on the side of trust than go through life with suspicion and mistrust.
so very true

Trust is the basis of most of life – a good life that is. A life filled with joy and peace. Distrust and mistrust create a cloud of negativity and sadness around us. Being trustworthy and trusting others builds harmony, peace and joy.
Beautiful …
The foundation to every relationship.
A good life can only be led if we can trust the journey and Gods plan … ofcourse with the right actions and thoughts .
It’s one of the pillars to surrender too which you wrote about .
My Dada used to say, trust those , who trudt themselves . Without trust , there can be no love. It’s the basis of any relationship . God bless and much love. Xx
Congratulations. I really liked this article. Trust is for me the most important thing in the world. It often gets neglected or forgotten. If you make it as a principle to have trust in people, you will experience miracles. I love reading your articles in the morning.
Every one is born with a particular nature. It’s inborn. You can’t change it. But as age goes by, with experience, one becomes more careful.
Another home truth Vivek. Trust and forgiveness are the keys to rich futures and abundant lives. I love that you are offering fresh insights into these ancient foundations for life
Very nice
Superb, Captain!
Grateful for your pearls of wisdom, stay blessed always !!
‘Trust is the most valuable currency in the world’ as imagined by you. In my experience, this quality develops from childhood. Family who nurture this kind of sanskar in child is blessed with their past karmas who are looking for well being of human race in general. If child is taught these kind of values, this becomes his nature. He will always think of positiveness.
